Olywest in Winnipeg?
We were thrown into the battle of our lives on November 24, 2005, never to be the same.
Our Premier and Mayor have colaborated behind our backs to bring us a wonderful deal.
A mega hog slaughter/rendering factory and 4000 live hog barn just 1.5 kms from our CITY community.
The taxpayers will give these 3 companies over 45 million dollars to just move on in and destroy our community.
We are fighting as hard as we can, but it is becoming very clear as each day goes by that our elected officials whether municipal, provincial or federal are not serving in the best interest of the people who elected them.
Our eyes are now open to the corruption and utter disregard for people in general. Not one of them has told the truth, they have actually lied right to our faces.
If anyone has a suggestion as to how we can deal with the powerful mega hog industry, the corrupt lying politions and still remain sane, PLEASE come forward. East Winnipeg needs your help.

Metz hog farm closes barn doors. |
Bryar says the farm owners have left behind a lagoon of liquid manure. He says the company has until May to get rid of it. |
A controversial factory hog farm in Ste-Marie-de-Kent has closed after six years of fighting with its neighbours, leaving behind more millions of gallons of manure.
The Metz farm near Bouctouche surrendered its license to operate five months ago.
The closure signals the end of a long and difficult relationship with people who lived downwind of the farm. For years, neighbours have complained that manure from the farm's 10,000 hogs made it difficult to breathe and hurt the area's tourism trade.
Locals also worried that the manure, which neighouring farmers spread on their fields, would pollute their water table and endanger wildlife.
