A
shot of the site from the front of the building looking toward
the lagoon area at the far left near the trees. |
 |
There
are hundreds of cracks like these in the concrete floor of the
building. These cracks were likely caused by the concrete drying
too quickly and without sufficient water to cure properly. |
 |
The
culvert in the centre of this shot runs under the McNairn Road.
The water from the diverted spring once ran under the road and
is Fork "A" of Mill Creek on
the map. The damp ground on the right is another spring. |
 |
The
diverted spring now runs toward the site instead of toward the
road (in the background of this picture). Also, the lumps in
the foreground are baked mud not gravel. |
 |
Looking
from the road toward the site, the spring which once flowed
through the culvert into the Mill Creek now flows toward the
site. |
 |
A
shot from the lagoon area toward the building site. The green
clumps are a brook. On the dirthill, behind the brook, is a
stake for the edge of the lagoon. The stake is approximately
5 feet from brook. |
 |
The
brook at the south side of the lagoon area is Fork
"B" of the Mill Creek on the map. |
 |
These
bulldozer tracks indicate that equipment has been driven through
the running water of the brook. The Clean Water Act strictly
fobids this. |
 |
This
shot of the soil in the lagoon area shows dark patches which
are still damp after 6 weeks of very dry weather. |
 |
This
footprint indicates the type of soil in the brook which is approximately
five feet from the south side of the lagoon. |
